Traditionally the pig industry is split into breeders, fatteners, processors and retailers – everyone trying to make a profit. The retailers want a flow of uniform product and the flexibility to vary volumes at short notice. The only way the processor can meet this requirement is to source from a number of fattening units, who in turn are supplied by a selection of breeders. Often stock is bought in from other European countries where welfare and feeding regulations differ from our own. This meat when processed in the UK can legally be sold as British product.

We cannot offer a constant flow of product, a litter of piglets can be five or fifteen who then develop at different rates. We can however let you meet the parents and see the pasture where the litter was raised. We can prepare the meat and sausage to your requirements for your fridge and freezer.
